Tournament Guidelines

10-Ball

Official DCTX 10-ball tournament rules and guidelines.

  1. The 1 ball is positioned on the spot with the 2 and 3 balls in the back corners.
  2. The 10 goes in the middle.
  3. Players may bring their own templates, though they’re optional.
  1. Players flip a coin to determine the opening break, then alternate thereafter.
  2. If you foul on the break such as a miscue, it’s your opponent’s option to break.
  3. The 10 ball doesn’t count if made during the break and must be respotted if pocketed.
  1. The 10 ball can be a combo shot after the break for a win. Must be called.
  2. Players may push after the break — if declined by the opponent, play passes to the next teammate in rotation.
  1. If the cue ball is pocketed or jumps off the table, it is ball in hand for the opponent.
  2. Other balls jumping off count as fouls.
  3. If the 10 jumps off, it’s respotted with ball in hand awarded to the opponent.
  1. When a ball is pocketed improperly, your opponent has the option to shoot from where the cue is or give it back for you to shoot.

No 3-Foul Rule

There is NOT a 3-foul rule in this tournament.
